In 2002 Ray Charles performed at the annual Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular on NBC. The other guests were Enrique Iglesias, Britney Spears and James Taylor. Rudolph Giuliani, Harrison Ford, Mike Meyers, and Sigourney Weaver were also featured. The theme was A Time For Heroes, including a special tribute to the heroes and victims of September 11th. The show was hosted by Rob Lowe. Ray sang America The Beautiful.
